1. "Silk Road Economic Belt" was first proposed

　　On September 7, 2013, Xi Jinping proposed in his speech at Nazarbayev University in Kazakhstan that in order to make economic ties between Eurasian countries closer, mutual cooperation deeper and development space broader, the Silk Road Economic Belt could be built together with innovative cooperation models. He pointed out that this is a great cause for the benefit of the people of all countries along the way, which can be done from the strengthening of policy communication, road connection, smooth trade, currency circulation, and people-to-people contact, and gradually form a regional cooperation from line to piece. This is the first time Chinese leaders proposed the construction of the "Silk Road Economic Belt" initiative. Since its introduction, the "Belt and Road" initiative has received wide attention and positive response from the international community. So far, more than 100 countries and international organizations have expressed their support for the Belt and Road Initiative, and China has signed more than 50 Belt and Road-related cooperation agreements with more than 40 countries and international organizations.

　　2. The 21st century "Maritime Silk Road" was first proposed

The main content of the document is divided into eight parts: the background of the times, the principle of joint construction, the framework of ideas, cooperation priorities, cooperation mechanisms, China's various local open posture, China's positive action, and create a better future.

　　5. 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities docking program is basically completed

　　In November 2015, the 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps "One Belt, One Road" construction implementation program is basically completed. Since the release of the "Vision and Action to Promote the Construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road", localities have combined their comparative advantages and targeted their local positioning in participating in the promotion of the construction of the "Belt and Road". At the same time, each place combined with local characteristics, the integration of local economic, industrial, humanities and other basic resources with the promotion of the "Belt and Road" construction work to "policy communication, facility connectivity, trade, financial integration, people-to-people" as the main content, planning Construction pattern, clear key tasks. According to the program, each region will promote key work and major cooperation projects in a number of areas.

　　6. ADB was established

　　On December 25, 2015, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) was officially established. The main purpose of the ADB is to promote sustainable economic development, create wealth and improve infrastructure connectivity in Asia through investments in infrastructure and other productive sectors; and to work closely with other multilateral and bilateral development agencies to advance regional cooperation and partnerships to address development challenges. The formal establishment and opening of the ADB will effectively increase infrastructure investment in Asia, mobilize various resources, especially private sector funds, to invest in infrastructure construction, promote regional connectivity and economic integration, and improve the investment environment of developing Asian member countries, create employment opportunities, enhance medium- and long-term development potential, and provide a positive boost to economic growth in Asia and the world. So far, the ADB membership has expanded from 57 when it was first created to 77.

　　7. China signs first Belt and Road cooperation document with international organizations

　　On April 11, 2016, China and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific signed the Letter of Intent between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific on Promoting Regional Connectivity and the One Belt, One Road Initiative. The Letter of Intent emphasizes that the two sides will jointly plan concrete actions to promote connectivity and the "One Belt, One Road", and promote policy docking and practical cooperation among countries along the route. The Letter of Intent is the first "Belt and Road" cooperation document signed between China and an international organization, aiming to expand the consensus on cooperation between the two sides on the "Belt and Road", strengthen exchanges and docking, and deepen practical cooperation.

　　8. Promote the Belt and Road Construction Symposium held

　　On August 17, 2016, a symposium on promoting the construction of "One Belt, One Road" was held. Xi Jinping delivered an important speech, stressing the importance of summing up experience, confidence, and solid promotion, focusing on policy communication, facility connectivity, smooth trade, financial integration, and people-to-people contact, focusing on building mutually beneficial cooperation networks, new cooperation models, and diversified cooperation platforms, focusing on working together to build the Green Silk Road, the Health Silk Road, the Intellectual Silk Road, and the Silk Road of Peace, to nail the spirit of grasping, step by step, the The "Belt and Road" construction to move forward, so that the "Belt and Road" construction to benefit the people of countries along the route.

　　9. Initiative written into the UN General Assembly resolution for the first time

　　On November 17, 2016, the 71st session of the UN General Assembly adopted resolution A/71/9 by consensus. The resolution welcomed the "Belt and Road" and other economic cooperation initiatives, urged all parties to strengthen the economic development of Afghanistan and the region through the "Belt and Road" initiative, and called on the international community to provide a safe and secure environment for the construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative.  Since the UN Security Council adopted Resolution S/2274 in March 2016, which includes the promotion of the "Belt and Road" initiative, UN General Assembly Resolution A/71/9 included the "Belt and Road" initiative for the first time, which was unanimously endorsed by 193 Member States. It was unanimously endorsed by 193 Member States, reflecting the universal support of the international community for the promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative.

　　10. Belt and Road International Cooperation Summit Forum held in Beijing

　　On May 14-15, 2017, the "Belt and Road" International Cooperation Summit Forum will be held in Beijing. 29 foreign heads of state and government and three heads of important international organizations, including the UN Secretary-General, will attend the "Belt and Road" Summit. The "Belt and Road" International Cooperation Summit Forum leaders roundtable summit and other activities. About 1,500 VIPs from more than 130 countries and 70 international organizations will attend the forum as official delegates, and more than 4,000 journalists from around the world will register to cover the forum. The theme of the forum is "Strengthening International Cooperation, Building 'One Belt, One Road' and Achieving Win-Win Development". The main activities of the forum include the opening ceremony, leaders' roundtable summit and high-level meetings. The forum will focus on creating four outcomes: building more consensus, clarifying the direction of cooperation, promoting the implementation of projects, and improving the support system.
